  1. Hi Gayle,

    Yes, this is 2 separate workshops. One is May 12th, and the other is May 14th but both will be recorded and available to paid registrants for up to 30 days after the air date. If you’d like to attend both, you would need to put both in your cart. The details are above under each heading. Let me know if you have other questions!

  2. I have about 10 students and I drive to each of their homes to teach throughout the week after my “real job” (which I’d like to change to part-time as I hopefully increase my students).

    Because I go to their homes, I don’t have studio tardiness or lateness issues, and I don’t have a studio to insure…
    I’m curious about your courses but I’m not sure how relevant they would be for me in particular?

    What do you think?
    Thank you!

  3. Hi Sami,

    Great question! I think that both workshops will be as relevant to you as they are to any teacher. The “lateness” and “early” suggestions were just freebies I was giving out. We won’t be talking about that in the workshops. For a list of what we will cover, scroll up, but here’s a summary:
    Best Stress-Free Business:
    * Making a consistent income
    * How to figure out a competitive rate
    * How to take time off without losing income
    * How to eliminate make up lessons
    * How to make a healthy income (there’s no reason a piano teacher has to be poor)
    * How to implement these new ideas with resolve (and without losing students)
    * And more…

    In the “Marketing, Taxes, Business Entities, and Liability” you will learn about:
    * Business entities that can help you save money in taxes
    * Liability issues and how to protect yourself
    * New ways and effective ways of marketing to get new students (you might need this if you are going to transition to more teaching)

    I hope that helps you know what you’ll cover. I honestly don’t think there is any reason why a traveling teacher couldn’t get as much out of the workshops as a studio based teacher!

    Let me know if you have other questions!

  4. I am a beginning piano and voice teacher in a new area. I would love to purchase the workshops in the near future unfortunately do not have Budgeted funds for this month. How long will these workshops be available for purchase ?

  5. Hi Meika,

    Welcome to the world or piano and voice teaching! Thanks for your interest in the business workshops. I know that they will be available for at least until June 11th (or at least available for those who purchased them to watch them by June 11th). We are working on making the available for purchase later as well. Details will come, but feel free to check back in a few weeks! If you are on the newsletter, you’ll get notification about things like this, so be sure to join if you don’t belong already. There are lots of great resources and articles delivered to your email through the newsletter. https://composecreate.com/newsletter/

    Touch base here in a few weeks and maybe I can get you more details! It’s definitely a great idea to watch these before you start in earnest to help you figure our prices, policies, etc.

  6. Will the video be available after June 11 for us to purchase? I would not be able to view until after June 16 as we I have two recitals over the next two weeks and will be going out of town and mostly on the road until June 16. Thanks.

  7. Hi Angela,

    Thanks so much for your interest! Yes, I know that this is a busy time and We are working on making the videos available for 30 days from the date you purchase at least over the summer. Make sure you are signed up for the newsletter and you’ll get information about this! https://composecreate.com/newsletter/

    Keep in touch!

    Wendy
